Upgrading from V11 to V12

I’ve been using V11 for about a year and just upgraded to V12 today. I now have about 3000 cards under V11 FLAG THESE CARDS subset DELETE. I would obviosuly like to reduce the number of cards im doing by deleting these if they are in fact duplicates and what not but my concern would be deleting important information in my algorithim that I need. Is it okay for me to delete these cards? This is for Step 1 prep.

Hello,

You can delete the tags themselves, but you can check the V12 equivalent of the tag you’ve mentioned

tag:#AK_Step1_v12::!FLAG_THESE_CARDS

I personally don’t touch them, we have gone through and deleted a ton of duplicates off of AnkiHub.

You can delete all cards that are not apart of v12 anymore by following this tutorial: How do I delete all V11 cards after I have upgraded to V12?

To delete V11 tags: Why do I still have V11 tags in V12?

I’m still slightly confused. I guess a better question is, did the update remove any cards from my current mature cards so that i dont continue anything that is deemed a duplicate? Or will that only be in effect for cards that I unsuspend moving forward, because it does not appear that my daily due cards for the upcoming days have changed at all. There are 3000 cards under step1v11 DELETE and only 1 card under step1v12 DELETE

You will most likely have to delete them manually.

You can check what cards are no longer on V11 by going to browse → note types → click on this note type “AnKingOverhaul” (note: its not the one with the brackets that says AnKingMed)

Those cards in the note type “AnKingOverhaul” can be safely deleted
