Welcome to AnkiHub, and thanks for posting here — it is a lot at first, and it’s completely normal to feel confused.

Let’s keep this very simple and get you from “overwhelmed” to “actually reviewing cards” in a few steps.

1. Clarify what you want to do

To guide you properly, I need a bit more detail:

  1. Which deck are you trying to use with AnkiHub?
(e.g., AnKing Step 1, MCAT deck, language deck, etc.)
  2. What have you already done?
    • Installed Anki (computer)?
    • Installed the AnkiHub add-on?
    • Created an AnkiHub account / subscribed to a deck?
  3. Are you on Windows, macOS, or something else?

Reply with those 3 answers and I can give you exact step‑by‑step instructions for your situation.

2. Minimal “just get started” checklist

While you reply, here’s the core flow most users follow:

  1. On your computer

    • Install the latest Anki from ankiweb.net.
    • Install the AnkiHub add-on using the code from the AnkiHub website.
    • Restart Anki and log into AnkiHub in the add-on.
  2. On AnkiHub website

    • Find the deck you want (e.g. in AnkiHub Decks).
    • Click Subscribe to that deck.
  3. Back in Anki

    • Use the AnkiHub add-on menu to Sync/Download the subscribed deck.
    • Confirm the new deck appears in your Anki deck list.
    • Click the deck → Study Now and start with the default settings.

We can optimize settings and explain all the “extra” tutorials later. First priority is: one deck in Anki + you are able to review cards.

3. What I’ll do next

Once you tell me:

  • which deck,
  • your device/OS,
  • what step you’re stuck at,

I’ll reply with:

  • a very short, numbered list (no long videos needed),
  • screenshots/links only if they’re directly relevant,
  • and how to know you’ve set it up correctly.

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

It may be helpful if you can let us know which deck it is that you’re trying to use, just so that we have a little bit of context in order to best be able to be of help. :mending_heart:

The more context you can share the easier it may be to be of help. Screenshots are ideal, if you can, just so I can see what you’re seeing
