Reading: How to setup ankihub on ankidroid and sync anking step deck on ankidroid
It looks like you’ve copied the description text of the Support category into your post instead of your actual question.
If you’re trying to ask:
“How do I set up AnkiHub on AnkiDroid and sync the AnKing Step deck to AnkiDroid?”
here’s the short version of the steps; you can reply with screenshots or details if you get stuck on any step.
1. Set things up on your computer first (required for AnkiHub)
AnkiHub requires the desktop version of Anki:
- Install the latest Anki from: https://apps.ankiweb.net
- Install the AnkiHub add-on on desktop:
Tools → Add-ons → Get Add-ons… and use the code from: https://community.ankihub.net/docs
- Log into the AnkiHub add-on with your AnkiHub account.
- Subscribe to the AnKing Step deck on the AnkiHub website (if you haven’t already).
- In Anki Desktop, sync and make sure the AnKing Step deck appears and is fully downloaded.
- Then sync Anki Desktop with AnkiWeb (top-right sync button; log in or create an AnkiWeb account).
Once this is done, your updated deck lives in your AnkiWeb account and can be pulled to AnkiDroid.
2. Connect AnkiDroid to AnkiWeb
On your Android device:
- Install AnkiDroid from the Play Store.
- Open AnkiDroid → tap the sync icon (circular arrows) in the top bar.
- Log in with the same AnkiWeb account you used on your computer.
- On the first sync, if AnkiDroid asks, choose “Download from AnkiWeb” (so it pulls the AnKing Step deck and everything else from the cloud).
After that, regular syncs will keep your phone and computer in sync via AnkiWeb.
3. How AnkiHub fits in on Android
- The AnkiHub add-on only runs on desktop, not on AnkiDroid.
- Workflow is:
- AnkiHub → updates deck on desktop Anki → you sync desktop ↔ AnkiWeb → AnkiDroid syncs with AnkiWeb.
- So to get new AnkiHub updates to your phone, you:
- Open Anki on desktop, sync AnkiHub (and AnkiWeb).
- Then sync AnkiDroid.
If this is not what you meant, could you reply with:
- What you’ve already done (e.g., “I have Anki on my PC but not AnkiWeb set up”, or “Deck is on desktop but not showing on phone”), and
- Any error messages / screenshots you see?
That will make it much easier to give you step‑by‑step instructions.
It looks like the bot pretty well answered your question, though please let us know if there is anything else we can help with in the meantime.
