Issue with AnKing Step Deck – Only Step 2 Visible

Hello,

I purchased the AnKing Step Deck and synced it with Anki, but only Step 2 → Section → Internal Medicine II is visible. So, I installed AnKing Version 11 to fix this issue.

I have two questions:

  1. Why did only Step 2 get installed when I purchased the AnKing Step Deck?
  2. I want to use Version 12, but for now, I installed Version 11. Will Version 11 automatically update to Version 12?

I’m not sure if I follow; is this the tag you’re referencing? If so, I’m not sure there is a Step 2 - Section - Internal medicine II tag. Is there something else you’re referencing, perhaps?

  1. Without more info, hard to say.
  2. Not necessarily automatically, no.

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend installing older versions on top of a glitched current version, FYI. It’s not necessarily likely to solve the issue, and can result in presenting a number of additional points of confusion or overlap. Just for future reference.

What I would recommend that you do is force a re-check of your local collection against the Ankihub server collection, which will double-check and repair any discrepancies that might exist in your deck. This can be done by following the instructions provided in this tutorial: Resetting Local Changes

Give that a shot and let me know how you fare, and we’ll go from there. Once you have that done, we can double-check to make sure everything that should be there is there, and that all is accounted for, and hopefully get you in ship shape. :slight_smile:
