I am wondering how to proceed when I get the popup on my new device shown in the screenshot below. It is prompting me to install AnKing Step Deck even though the deck is already synced to my new device with my progress from other devices. The popup comes up every time I open up Anki on the new device. I have been pressing “skip” to proceed with my Anki usage.
Should I open Anki on other devices and sync? Or should I install the deck? I am scared about losing my progress if I install the deck even though it already appears on my new device.

As you’ve noticed, if you hit ‘skip’ it’s going to think that you want to install the deck and that you keep skipping it, thus prompting you continually. Instead, I would recommend hitting install.
What is going to happen is that, upon clicking install, Ankihub will do a once-over check of all the note ID’s in your collection. It will ‘see’ that you have existing note ID’s present and simply sync those as already having been in place; it won’t overwrite your progress in any way.
If you’re understandably nervous, you can always make a backup prior just to make sure, but it’s a pretty routine thing and folks do it all the time.
