i upgraded to anking on my main desktop computer and had the ankihub add-on on that computer.i synchornized and closed anki on my desktop before changing device to my laptop (different device).
my laptop didnt have the ankihub add-on yet. when i went on my laptop today i synchronized (it downloaded from ankiweb) and later added the ankihub add-on to it. Now im getting the message “you have new ankihub decks to install: getting started with anki and AnkingStep Deck” on my computer. should i click install or skip?
I am concerned that if i click install it will download cards that i already have from when the device originally synchorized from downloading from Ankiweb

This is pretty normal. While it’s always safest to make a backup first to make sure, in most cases once you click ‘okay’ it’s just going to read your collection, recognize that you already have cards in place, and synchronize everything as such.
I would recommend making a backup first, then hitting ‘okay’ and just letting it do its thing.
