Restore backup without losing progress?

Is there a way to restore a backup version of a deck without losing the last few days of progress? I accidentally synced my desktop version and that caused me to lose all of my ‘extra’ field screenshots that I add from my notes (>10k cards worth). I was able to restore my Anking from a backup from two days earlier but now I lost my progress from those 2 days/ lost my streak. is there a way to restore the progress without losing my version of the Anking deck with my edits?

Hello,

Unfortunately, because of the nature of restoring from a backup it necessarily returns your collection back to the state it was in at a specific point in time. There’s not really a way to both restore it back and preserve ongoing review progress.

As for the streak, you can sort of ‘cheat’ your way back into reinstating that streak, if you want. It’s not really, I think, something you’re supposed to do but people do occasionally go back through and repair streaks if they’ve been traveling and crossing numerous timelines and whatnot, which can cause streaks to be lost inadvertently. I don’t know that it’s something that I can help with directly, but it is something that can be done.

Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.

I believe you can always manually edit the time on your computer and turn off your wifi, do one card, then switch it back to your time and turn on your wifi. The streak will stay

I may or may not have done this in the past to keep my streak
