Hey AnkiHub community! We’ve got some exciting updates to share.
Block Exam Sub-Decks Are Here!
We’ve just shipped one of our most requested features, and we’re super excited this one into your hands: Block Exam Sub-Decks!
For the first time, you can take cards from any Smart Search and drop them into a clean, exam-specific sub-deck with a single click. Name it, set your exam date, and you’re ready to go.
On that date, AnkiHub will automatically prompt you: retire the deck and move cards back into your main deck, keep the sub-deck as is, or set a new due date reminder. No more messing with custom filters or manually moving individual cards from deck to deck.

Boards & Beyond Integration Update
We’ve refreshed more Boards & Beyond Step 1 categories in the Step Deck! The Pulmonary, Musculoskeletal, and Ophthalmology sections now link directly to the latest videos.

Help Shape the Future of Smart Search
We’re looking to better understand how you move from lecture slides to flashcards, and we’d love your input!

Record your screen as you open a lecture you haven’t studied yet and find the flashcards you’ll use. Please narrate out loud what you try, what works, and where you get stuck.

Length: your choice—short or long (even 30+ minutes is fine.)

What to show: your lecture PDF/slides and how you find related cards (SmartSearch, tags/keywords, deck browsing, etc.).

Privacy: Don’t show any patient info or personal data. Screen + voice only (no face needed).

Deadline: November 18, 2025, 11:59 PM PT.

Raffle: We’ll randomly pick three winners for $25 Amazon gift cards from valid submissions (one entry/person; odds depend on entries; void where prohibited).

Mac: Press ⌘-Shift-5 (Screenshot Toolbar) or use QuickTime → New Screen Recording; select your microphone.

Windows: Use PowerPoint → Insert → Screen Recording or Clipchamp (Windows 11).

How to send (please don’t upload via the form):

Upload your video to a file-sharing service (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, or WeTransfer).

Set link access to “Anyone with the link can view.”

Email the link to product@ankihub.net with subject “SmartSearch study-flow video submission.”
- You’re welcome to add a brief note about what you tried.

Subscription Tax Update
We’ve started collecting sales tax on AnkiHub subscriptions for users located in areas where sales tax is required by law.
What this means for you
- Your plan and pricing remain the same — only the applicable sales tax will be added automatically at checkout based on your billing address.
- You’ll see the tax itemized clearly on your invoices and receipts. You can see that directly from your AnkiHub account settings in the Billing and Plans section by clicking the Manage button.
- No action is needed from your side.
