Hi! I’ve been having some issues with smart search.
Usually, I can upload lecture notes into the “files” tab and smart search extensively captures cards. Today, I noticed that I was only getting about 30 cards per lecture (I usually get anywhere from 100-200 related cards) and when I manually checked, there were many related cards that the tool missed. I was wondering if there might be a fix for this. Thank you!

This could be happening for a few reasons:
File format or content: The AI might be processing different file types or content layouts with varying levels of effectiveness
Recent updates: There might have been recent changes to how Smart Search works behind the scenes
Premium subscription status: Make sure your Premium subscription is active, as Smart Search is a Premium feature

Check your AnkiHub add-on version: Make sure you’re using the latest version
Try different file formats: If you’re using PDFs, try converting to text files or vice versa
Break down larger files: Try splitting your lecture notes into smaller sections
Different search terms: If you’re using the search field alongside file uploads, try adjusting your keywords

Did this start happening only in the last 2 days? Can you try a previous powerpoint/lecture that gave you 100-200 cards previously and check now and see if it now gives you way less?
Hi thanks for your help. I recall this lecture (attached) yielding ~ 150 cards yesterday, but it only comes up with 35 cards today (same filter setting applied). My classmates who use this feature have also been encountering the same issue.
