Usually, I can upload lecture notes into the āfilesā tab and smart search extensively captures cards. Today, I noticed that I was only getting about 30 cards per lecture (I usually get anywhere from 100-200 related cards) and when I manually checked, there were many related cards that the tool missed. In addition, I have re-uploaded files that I have uploaded in the past and yielded 100+ cards for and Iām only getting around 30 cards this time. I was wondering if there might be a fix for this.
Thank you!

Thanks for reporting this issue with Smart Search! It sounds like youāre experiencing fewer card results than expected when uploading lecture notes to the āfilesā tab.
Based on what we know about Smart Search, there could be a few possible explanations:
AI Model Updates: The AI models powering Smart Search are regularly updated, which might affect how content is matched to cards.
Usage Limits: AnkiHub Premium has monthly Smart Search limitations (currently 3,750,000 words of search input). If youāve been using Smart Search extensively, you might be approaching these limits.
Content Format: The format of your lecture notes or how the content is structured might affect matching results.
To troubleshoot this issue, you could try:
Restarting Anki: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary issues
Checking File Format: Ensure your files are in a format that Smart Search can properly analyze
Breaking Down Larger Files: Try uploading smaller sections of your notes to see if that improves results
If the problem persists, Iād recommend:
Taking screenshots of the issue to help the support team understand exactly whatās happening
