Smart Search not finding any cards

Regardless of whatever I search (things i have searched before and know have cards related to that term), Smart Search will not pull up any cards in the tags nor the text section. Here is the screenshot below:

I have tried using the web-browser instead of the app and it still gives me the same error. I quit Anki and logged out and the error persists. Please help me troubleshoot!
