Subscribed to Step 1 Anking and Core

I subscribed to Core membership in order to get Step 1 Anking. When I try to sync Step 1 Anking to my computer’s Anki, it tells me to upgrade my subscription. I received the receipt to my email that I was charged for the Core subscription. I have re-started my computer and my account with no improvement. Please help me!

I apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with your AnkiHub subscription and importing the AnKing deck. It seems that you’re having trouble with your account not updating or allowing you to import the deck despite having paid for a Core subscription. Let’s try to resolve this issue step by step:

  1. Verify your subscription:

    • Double-check that your payment has been processed successfully. You mentioned receiving a receipt, which is a good sign.
    • Make sure you’re logged into the correct account on AnkiHub that’s associated with your subscription.
  2. Sync your AnkiHub add-on:

    • Open Anki on your computer.
    • Go to the AnkiHub add-on menu at the top of the screen.
    • Look for an option to sync or refresh your account status.
    • If you don’t see such an option, try logging out and logging back in through the add-on.
  3. Clear cache and restart:

    • Close Anki completely.
    • Restart your computer (which you’ve already tried, but it’s worth doing again after the next steps).
    • Open Anki and try to sync with AnkiHub again.
  4. Check for add-on updates:

    • Make sure your AnkiHub add-on is up to date. You can check for updates in the Anki add-on manager.
  5. Verify the deck subscription:

    • Log in to the AnkiHub website.
    • Check if the AnKing Step 1 deck appears in your subscribed decks.
    • If it’s not there, try subscribing to the deck again from the website.
  6. Import process:

    • After confirming your subscription on the website, return to Anki.
    • Use the AnkiHub add-on menu to check for new deck updates or to initiate the import process for the AnKing deck.

If you’ve tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, it’s possible there might be a temporary problem with the AnkiHub servers or a sync issue. In this case, the best course of action would be to contact AnkiHub support directly.

You can reach out to the AnkiHub support team by:

  1. Emailing them at support@ankihub.net
  2. Creating a new topic in the :butterfly: Accounts and Billing category of this forum, providing details about your issue and the steps you’ve taken so far.

When contacting support, be sure to include:

  • The email address associated with your AnkiHub account
  • The date of your subscription purchase
  • Any error messages you’re seeing
  • Screenshots of the issue if possible

The support team should be able to verify your subscription status and help resolve any account-related issues preventing you from accessing the AnKing deck.

Remember, the AnkiHub team is committed to helping users and usually responds within 24-48 hours. They’ll be able to investigate your specific account situation and provide a tailored solution.
