I see you’re having an issue with moving notes to another deck in AnkiHub. The error message you’re encountering - “A deck can’t contain multiple notes with the same anki_id” - suggests there’s a conflict with note IDs.

This is a specific AnkiHub limitation. In Anki itself, notes can be in multiple decks through their cards, but AnkiHub handles deck organization differently.

Here’s what might be happening:

  1. When you try to move a note to another deck, there might already be a copy or version of that same note (with the same anki_id) in the destination deck.

  2. AnkiHub prevents duplicate note IDs within a single deck to maintain data integrity.

To resolve this issue, you could try:

  • Check for duplicates: Look in the destination deck to see if there’s already a version of this note there
  • Create a new note: Instead of moving the existing note, you might need to create a new one in the destination deck
  • Delete the duplicate: If you find the duplicate in the destination deck, you can delete it first before moving your note

If this doesn’t solve your problem, you might want to:

  1. Make sure you’re using the latest version of the AnkiHub add-on
  2. Try syncing your collection with AnkiWeb first
  3. Contact AnkiHub support directly if the problem persists

Would you be able to provide more details about the specific decks you’re working with and the steps you took before encountering this error?

Hello,

Does this occur with every card you try to suggest?

Can you take a screenshot of that card that is causing issues?
