Hi, I have subscribed to and purchased the step deck. I am up to the step when I sync with my anki. However It is saying I need to log in. My ankihub account is different than my previous ankiweb account. When I try my ankihub account it does not work? should I sign in with my previous ankiweb account?

Ankiweb and Ankihub are separate services, so you do have to log into them each. However, because they are separate services you won’t necessarily have, nor is it necessary to have, the same logins for both.
If you’re receiving a prompt that asks you to log in, I would make sure to figure out whether it’s coming from Ankihub, or Ankiweb, and then use the appropriate login accordingly.
