I see you’re having an issue with your Anki daily limits. While there’s not much specific information about this in our AnkiHub community forum, I can help explain what might be happening.

When you set your daily review limit to 9999 but Anki is still limiting your reviews, there could be a few reasons for this:

  1. Review backlog handling: When you have a backlog of reviews, Anki will prioritize cards that have been waiting the longest, but it still honors your daily limits.

  2. Parent deck settings: If you’re using nested decks, the behavior depends on which scheduler version you’re using. Parent deck limits can override child deck limits in some cases.

  3. New card limits affecting reviews: If you’re using the v3 scheduler, new cards count toward your review limit by default. This means if your review limit is reached, no new cards will be shown.

  4. Scheduler version: Different scheduler versions handle limits differently. The v3 scheduler includes learning cards with a 1+ day delay in the review count.

To troubleshoot this issue:

  • Check which scheduler version you’re using (in Preferences > Review > Scheduler)
  • Make sure parent decks don’t have lower limits set
  • Verify that “New Cards Ignore Review Limit” is enabled if you want new cards regardless of review status
  • Check if you have the correct deck selected when studying

If you need more specific help with Anki’s core functionality, the Anki forums would be the best place to get detailed assistance, as they focus on general Anki usage while we focus on AnkiHub-specific support.

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

The most likely culprit here is that you have multiple presets for different decks, and so some of your decks are on a different preset and thus following a different set of settings.

I would make sure either that all of your decks are using the same preset, or to adjust your other presets.

Happy to walk you through how to do that if you like, and/or to answer any other questions you might have.
