Why is the AnkiHub AI Bot not showing up for me?

If the AI features are still not showing up, ensure the following:

• You have an active AnkiHub premium subscription
• You have the latest version of the AnkiHub add-on
• You are not on a scholarship subscription
• You are on the latest version of Anki
• You are using a deck that has AI enabled (such as the AnKing Step Deck)
• You are on the Qt6 version of Anki, not Qt5

Qt6 vs Qt5 Anki version

Ensure you are on a Qt6 version of Anki, as using the Qt5 version will cause the AI button not to show up. To check what version you are running

1. In the Anki main screen, at the top left, click “Anki”

2. Click “About Anki”

3. Here you can see what version you have (it should be Qt6 to be able to use the AI features)
   

   

4. To get the Qt6 version of Anki, you can download it from here → https://apps.ankiweb.net/

Still can’t see the AI features?

6. If you still cannot see the AI features, you might need to change new card destination, to do this:

• In your main Anki screen, go to the top left and click the AnkiHub add-on

• Click Deck Management

• Select the deck that has AI enabled (for example, the AnKing Step Deck)

• Click “Change Destination for New Cards”
  

  

• Select the AnKing Step Deck (if it already selected, try selecting it again and click “Confirm Destination for New Cards”
