Can you show me the duplicates youโ€™re seeing? Itโ€™s not immediately apparent from the image you shared, which seems to indicate they are multiple clozes of the same note:

Yes, so the cards you screenshotted are indeed 2 clozes of the same card (that has 2 clozes), however directly below those two are the same two cards but with the position number #34746 instead of #4033. In my newly attached screenshot the highlighted card is a card with a single cloze. And the card below it is the exact same card with the same issue; same card, same tags, same single cloze. Everything except for the position number. And this is the case for nearly every card in the Anking Overhaul Deck.

Got it.

Just to double-check a couple of things:

How long has this issue been going on, or how long have you noticed it?

Can you head to your tags, in the browser, click on โ€˜step1_v12โ€™ and tell me how many cards are listed as being present?

(The card-counter should be at the top of the screen; if itโ€™s not showing you might be in fullscreen mode and will need to pull out of that)

I have noticed this for months and never really got bothered until I started unsuspending tons of cards for school. When I select that tag it says โ€œ62875 Cards Selectedโ€.

Can you show me your main Anki screen, specifically all your decks and subdecks?

Also, from your browser can you click here:

And show me the resulting full screen?

Full Screen:

All of the decks below the Anki Overhaul are my in-class decks that classmates and I have made, so shouldnโ€™t interfere with Anking hopefully.

Manage Note Types:

And just for diligence can you show me your full screen when you click on โ€˜step1_v12โ€™, showing both the tag and the card-counter at the top?

Try this:

  1. Create a new deck and name it AnKing Step Deck
  2. Click on this note type "AnKingOverhaul (AnKing / AnKingMed)
  3. Highlight all the cards by clicking Cmd + A on Mac or Ctrl + A on Windows (not 100% sure what it is on Windows)
  4. Once they are all selected, right click โ†’ change deck โ†’ click on the new deck youโ€™ve created

Now that should move all the proper amount of cards to a new deck called AnKing Step deck.

Then you can go to browse โ†’ find all the duplicate cards, then filter it by deck like this in browse

Then delete any cards that are not in the AnKing Step Deck deck youโ€™ve created, that should remove the duplicate cards I believe
