My card count is still up to 35k+ but the deck at the moment is at 28.6K, and I’m not sure what I have done wrong in syncing to cause this issue.

Can you show me which numbers you’re looking at, and where?
A common source of confusion is between number of cards, and number of notes. The AnKing Step Deck does indeed have roughly 28k notes, though about 36k cards, which I suspect might be a potential explanation here?
You can toggle back and forth between ‘cards’ view and ‘notes’ view from the Browse screen in Anki by clicking this button:
- Blue button = Cards
- Green button = Notes
Give that a shot and let me know if that was the source of the discrepancy. If so, great and all would seem to be well. If not, happy to delve into it further such that we get you squared away.

Oh! Yes that’s what confused me Thank you, it’s about 28k notes when I switched the toggle. Thank you!
