Iām not sure what is going on. On multiple Windows devices it is having me have to re-log in to AnkiHub every time that device is turned off.
Additionally, it always would make my Browse settings to default. For example, I want the "Sort "Field section to be long so I can read the card, but I have to change it and expand it every time I turn on my PC.
Anyone else have one or both of these two issues?

Thanks for the detailed description, that really helps narrow things down.
There are actually two separate things going on here:
1. AnkiHub keeps logging you out on Windows
A few things to check/try:
-
Make sure youāre on the latest versions
- Update Anki from: https://apps.ankiweb.net
- Update the AnkiHub add-on from Ankiās Add-ons screen (or reinstall from AnkiWeb).
- After updating, restart Anki and log into AnkiHub again.
-
Check for profile / add-on conflicts
- Start Anki while holding Shift ā this disables all add-ons.
- Then enable only AnkiHub and log in.
- Close Anki and reopen it normally.
- If you stay logged in with only AnkiHub enabled but get logged out once other add-ons are re-enabled, another add-on may be interfering with AnkiHubās stored data.
-
Windows / security software cleaning app data
- Some āoptimizerā or āprivacyā tools can clear local app data or cookies on shutdown, which may wipe AnkiHubās login data.
- If you use any of these (e.g. CCleaner, antivirus with ācleanupā features, enterprise security on a school/work computer), check their settings and exclude Ankiās data folder:
- Typically located at:
C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Roaming\Anki2\
If youāre willing, please also share:
- Your Anki version (Help ā About)
- Your AnkiHub add-on version
- Whether these are personal or institution-managed PCs
That will help narrow down whether this is a device policy issue vs. a bug.
2. Browse window settings keep resetting to default
The column sizes and layout in the Browser are saved in your profileās config. If theyāre resetting every time:
-
Check that Anki is closing cleanly
- Donāt force-close Anki from Task Manager regularly.
- Wait a second after closing to let it write settings.
-
Check database & config
- In Anki:
Tools ā Check Database.
- Then open the Browser, adjust the āSort / Fieldā column width, close Anki, reopen, and see if your changes stuck.
-
Multiple profiles or devices
- If you use multiple profiles, remember layout is per-profile.
- If you use multiple devices, Ankiās Browser layout doesnāt sync via AnkiWeb, so each device needs its own setup. However, it should persist on each device individually ā if it doesnāt, that again points to something preventing Anki from saving settings (disk permissions, profile folder on network drive, cleanup tools, etc.).
Next steps
If you can, reply with:
- Anki version + AnkiHub add-on version
- A quick test result:
- Start with only AnkiHub enabled ā log in ā close Anki ā reopen ā are you still logged in?
- After resizing the āSort/Fieldā column ā close Anki ā reopen ā did it keep the new width?
Once we have that info, we can tell if this is likely:
- a local environment issue (cleanup/permissions), or
- something we should escalate as a possible AnkiHub bug.
Iām not aware of similar reports. Can you use AnkiHub > Help > Upload logs and post the filename shown?
