Hello, I recently got the updated anking v12 deck and I have remaining v11 tags, I read that they can be deleted. I wanted to ask if I can delete all the cards associated with them as well? Also, I recently received a scholarship so I will have to renew it in 6 months, but when I apply for renewal how do I make sure I have access to the v12 version in this time frame?
Hello,
I would be happy to help. ![]()
I would not recommend deleting all of the cards tagged by v11, as many of them will have been carried over to v12 as well.
You could do something like searching by the following: tag:#AK_Step1_v11 -tag:#AK_Step1_v12
Which should bring up all cards that are tagged by Step1v11, and are not tagged by Step1v12. I haven’t had v11 myself, though in theory that should isolate cards that are no longer part of v12
Once your scholarship runs out, you are more than welcome to apply for the scholarship once again. The amount of time it takes to approve the scholarship can vary depending on volume and time of year. In the interim while you are waiting for the scholarship to be processed and looked over it won’t be possible to have active access to updates in the interim
Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with. ![]()
Hello yes, but will I still be able to access the deck in this time frame on my laptop regardless of not receiving any updates? Because before having access to the v12 version I just had v11 so I just don’t want to lose access if that makes sense?
You will still have access to your local collection, it just won’t be able to sync with the AnkiHub servers during the time in which you won’t have an active subscription. ![]()
Okay thank you. So even though my anking deck v11 version merged with the v12 I will still have access to my cards yes?
You will still have access to your local collection, yeah. ![]()
That you upgraded from v11 won’t affect it either way
