It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue with your AnKing decks automatically unsuspending. This could be related to how Anki handles sibling cards rather than an AnkiHub-specific issue.
Possible Cause: Sibling Cards
In Anki, when cards share the same note (called “siblings”), certain actions on one card can affect the others. This is particularly common when:
Cards are generated from the same note but in different templates (front/back cards, cloze deletions, etc.)
You have “bury siblings” disabled in your deck options
Things to check:
Check Browse view settings:
Make sure you’re viewing cards (not notes) in the browser to accurately see suspension status:
Go to Browse
At the top, make sure “Cards” is selected instead of “Notes”
Check if the “bury related” option is enabled in your deck options
This setting prevents sibling cards from appearing on the same day
Add-ons:
Some add-ons might automatically unsuspend cards under certain conditions
Try temporarily disabling add-ons (besides AnkiHub) to see if the problem persists
For more specific help with your AnKing decks, you might want to post in the AnkiHub Decks category with screenshots of what you’re experiencing, as that would help the community better understand your specific issue.
Would you be able to share more details about when exactly the unsuspending happens? For example, does it occur after syncing or after studying certain cards?
Just to clarify, are you talking about the tags in the left corner of the browse window, or are you talking about subdecks? The AnKing Step Deck doesn’t have subdecks by default, so maybe you created them. Could you explain a little bit more about what you mean by “opening some decks and not the rest”?
This is the tag system we use to organize and suspend/unsuspend cards. This tutorial shows this process: How to Get Started Studying
Just so I understand correctly, when you say, “When I click on those decks that are unsuspended, I dont see a suspend”, do you mean that when you go to the browser, select a tag, and select the cards you want to unsuspend, you don’t find the option to do so? If not, can you please give a little bit more detail?
Screenshots would help a lot to understand the issue you are facing!
