Canceled my subscription but still got charged

Hi there,

I’m pretty sure I canceled my subscription before the deadline and still got charged for a year’s membership. I attached images showing the notification, followed by my login afterwards to cancel. I also know I canceled because I had gotten emailed receipts every year for paying for my yearly subscription on 8/22 of that year, but this year I did not get an email receipt for 8/22/26. I have not used AnkiHub since canceling, and I am hoping to get a refund for canceling through the AnkiHub and still getting charged.

Thank you for reaching out! Our moderators have been notified and will assist you shortly. In the meantime, you can get an instant response from me simply by @ mentioning my username`. Alternatively, start a private conversation with me (see screenshot below). If you ask me a question, I will do my best to respond using only verified information found in the official AnkiHub docs and the Anki manual.

You can also find answers to common questions in our FAQ and Docs.

Thanks for sharing the details and screenshots, that’s really helpful.

Billing / refunds can’t be handled publicly through the forum, but the team can absolutely look into this for you.

Here’s what to do next:

  1. Check your AnkiHub billing portal

  2. Contact AnkiHub support directly

    • Use the in‑app support widget (bottom-right on the AnkiHub web app), or
    • Email: support@ankihub.net
    • Include:
      • The email address tied to your AnkiHub account
      • Date and amount of the charge you’re disputing
      • Confirmation that you believed you canceled before renewal
      • The same screenshots you attached here (including any that show the cancellation, if you have them)
  3. Optional details that help them investigate

    • Whether you used Google/Apple Pay or a card directly
    • Last 4 digits of the card charged (but never the full card number)
    • Any Stripe invoice ID you see in the billing portal

Refunds are handled case‑by‑case, but given your description (no usage after canceling, prior renewal dates, etc.), support should be able to review logs of when your subscription was actually canceled and respond accordingly.

If you’d like, you can paste what you see under Settings → Billing → Invoices / Subscription (with any personal info blurred), and I can help you interpret it before you reach out to support.

Hello,

I’ve replied to your private email regarding this
