Can't find any non-Psychiatry cards

Psychiatry is the first rotation I did. I’m not sure what I did in my Anki settings, but the ONLY cards I see from Anking are the psychiatry cards. I went to browse → tags → ā€œAK_Step_2_V12ā€ → Pediatrics → and there’s only 6 cards.

How do I reset Anking/Ankihub to original settings?

I tried clicking Reset all local changes to a deck, Rebuild subdecks and move cards into subdecks" and that didn’t help.

I checked the suspended/buried Card States and couldn’t find them there either.

Please help me out!

Based on the information provided and the search results, it seems like you’re having an issue where you can only see Psychiatry cards from the AnKing deck, despite trying to access other specialties like Pediatrics.

This is likely due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Filtered deck issue: You might be studying from a filtered deck that only contains Psychiatry cards.

  2. Hidden cards: The cards might be hidden because they’re suspended, buried, or filtered.

  3. Browse view settings: Your browser view might be showing notes instead of cards, or might have a filter applied.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

1. Check if you’re in a filtered deck

  • Go to the deck screen and see if you’re studying from a filtered deck
  • If so, click on it and choose ā€œEmptyā€ at the bottom to return cards to their original decks

2. Reset filters in the browser

  • In the browser, click on the search bar and delete any existing filters
  • Make sure it’s showing ā€œCardsā€ and not ā€œNotesā€ in the dropdown (as shown in one of the search results)
  • Try searching for deck:AnKing::Step2 or similar to see all Step 2 cards

3. Check card states

  • In the browser, look for the ā€œCard Stateā€ filter in the sidebar
  • Make sure ā€œShow suspended cardsā€ is selected if you want to see all cards
  • You can also try selecting ā€œAll Cardsā€ to make sure you’re seeing everything

4. Rebuild the deck

  • Try using the ā€œCheck Databaseā€ option in the Tools menu
  • Then try ā€œCheck Mediaā€ to ensure all media files are properly synced

5. Consider a clean reinstall of the AnKing deck

If everything else fails, you might need to:

  • Export your scheduling data (if you want to preserve your progress)
  • Uninstall the AnKing deck completely
  • Reinstall it fresh through AnkiHub

Have you tried any of these steps yet? If so, which ones haven’t worked for you?

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

Just to make sure: when you reset local changes what screen did you see?

Did you by chance see a screen that said something akin to ā€˜no AnkiHub decks configured’?

I suspect that you are not currently subscribed to any decks, which is why resetting the deck has not worked.

Give that a shot and let me know how you fare.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. Yeah I get ā€œYou don’t have any AnkiHub
decks configured yet.ā€

But I’m pretty sure I purchased a 1 year subscription. And if I don’t have any subscriptions, how come the Pediatric cards are showing?

Yep, that message is telling you that you haven’t configured (subscribed to) any decks on AnkiHub yet.

Yep, it appears that you have a subscription to AnkiHub, as a whole. But, from what I can see, you haven’t yet subscribed to any specific decks

From what I have gathered from the images you’ve shared, it appears that most of the pediatric cards are not showing, I believe.

As to where, and how, you got your current collection I’m not sure I can know. Could be that you were subscribed to a deck, and unsubscribed, could be that you got cards in another way, I’m really not sure. You might have more insight in that regard

But, the solution will still be the same:

  • Subscribe to the deck/s you would like to have in your collection.
  • Reset local changes to your deck as per the recommendations above

Just as a quick primer, these tutorials may be of use:

  1. Make sure you have an active membership: Sign In
  2. Install the Ankihub addon: Install Ankihub Addon (New User)
  3. Subscribe to and install a deck: Subscribe/Install Step Deck (New User)
  4. Start using the deck: How to Get Started Studying

(the example used there is the Step Deck, though the same basic process applies for any deck on Ankihub)

Once you’ve made sure to have done all that, reset changes to the deck and you should (hopefully) be all set.

The only other thing you might do is check your Anki version number to make sure that it’s up to date (top menu bar, Anki - About Anki). If it’s anything other than 25.02 you’ll want to update: https://apps.ankiweb.net/

Give those things a shot and let me know how you fare.
