Iâm not sure what I did wrong but there are no cards in my Anking Deck. I logged out of ankiweb on all my devices, unsubscribed and subscribed to the deck on ankihub, synced multiple times. The deck shows up on the home screen of Anki but there are no cards.

Thanks for the screenshotsâthat helps a lot.
Here are the most common reasons the AnKing deck appears but has no cards, and how to fix them:
1. Make sure the cards arenât all in subdecks
In your left sidebar, click the little
triangle next to AnKing Step Two and any other AnKing deck you see to expand all subdecks.
Sometimes the parent deck shows 0 cards because everything is inside subdecks.
- After expanding, check if you see subdecks like
AnKing::Step 2::...with card counts. - If you do see counts there, youâre goodâstudy those subdecks instead of the parent.
2. Check in the Browse window
- Click Browse at the top.
- In the left pane, click on
AnKing Step Two(and any subdecks under it). - At the top of the browser, set the search to:
(or whatever the exact deck name is)deck:"AnKing Step Two" - See if any cards show up in the browser:
-
If you see cards in Browse but â0 cardsâ on the deck screen
â The cards might all be suspended or have no new cards due.- In Browse, press
Ctrl+A(Cmd+A on Mac) to select all. - Rightâclick â Toggle Suspend to unsuspend (yellow pause icon should disappear).
- Then return to the main screen and click Rebuild/Empty filtered decks if youâre using one, then Sync.
- In Browse, press
-
If you see no cards in Browse
â The deck likely didnât download correctly from AnkiHub (or youâre looking at the wrong deck).
3. Confirm the correct deck is linked to AnkiHub
- In Anki, go to Tools â Add-ons â AnkiHub â Config (or AnkiHub menu â Settings if present).
- Open the Decks tab.
- Verify that the Anki deck youâre expecting (e.g.
AnKing Step Two) is actually linked to your AnkiHub subscription deck (e.g.AnKing Overhaul Step 2).
If itâs not:
- Link it to the correct AnkiHub deck.
- Then in AnkiHubâs settings, use âDownload deck from AnkiHubâ (or âForce full sync from AnkiHubâ if available) for that deck.
- Sync again.
4. Force a fresh download from AnkiHub
Since youâve already unsubscribed/resubscribed and logged out of AnkiWeb, Iâd try:
- In Anki, create a backup profile (File â Switch Profile â Add) just for safety.
- In your main profile:
- Make sure AnkiHub is logged in.
- In the AnkiHub menu, look for an option like âReset local deck & redownload from AnkiHubâ for that deck.
- Sync again.
5. Please share a couple more details
If this still doesnât work, could you reply with:
- A screenshot of:
- The AnkiHub add-on window â Decks tab, showing which deck is linked.
- In Browse, a screenshot after searching:
deck:"AnKing Step Two" - Your Anki version (from Help â About).
That will let us see whether this is:
- A linking issue,
- A download/sync issue, or
- Just all cards being in subdecks / suspended.
Weâll get you to a full AnKing deckâjust need to see exactly where the cards are hiding.
Hello,
I would be happy to help. ![]()
If you can, within Anki go to your top menu bar. From there, click Anki - About Anki and check your version number.
Youâll want to make sure that youâre on 25.09 (or higher). If itâs any other version, youâll want to upgrade since older versions often run into little issues with add-ons.
You can always download the latest version of Anki at the official Anki website: https://apps.ankiweb.net/
Once youâve done that, give this a shot: https://ior.ad/a7M4?tutorialIdKey=
Let me know if that does the trick for you. ![]()
