It looks like you may have accidentally posted the category description text as your question, and there’s no information yet about your actual issue with AnKing / cards not showing.
To help you with:
“Downloaded AnKing, no cards showing at all, even if I try to unsuspend”
please reply with a bit more detail:
-
Are you using AnkiHub for this deck?
- Did you:
- Install the AnkiHub add-on in Anki?
- Click “Add shared deck from AnkiHub” (or “Subscribe” on the AnkiHub website) for AnKing?
- Did you:
-
What do you see in Anki right now?
- In the Decks screen: do you see the AnKing deck name at all?
- In Browse:
- Select the AnKing deck from the left sidebar.
- How many notes/cards show at the top (e.g., “0 notes” vs “35,000 notes”)?
-
Unsuspending attempt
- In Browse, when you select the AnKing deck and press
Ctrl+A(orCmd+Aon Mac) → right‑click → Toggle Suspend, does the suspend icon (pause symbol) next to the cards change? - Or are no cards listed at all?
- In Browse, when you select the AnKing deck and press
-
Screenshots
- Please include:
- A screenshot of your Decks screen.
- A screenshot of Browse with the AnKing deck selected.
- Please include:
Quick checks you can do now
While you gather that info, you can quickly try these:
-
Confirm the deck is actually imported/subscribed
- If you used AnkiHub:
- Go to ankihub.net → My Decks.
- Confirm that the AnKing deck appears and that your Anki profile email matches your AnkiHub account.
- If you used AnkiHub:
-
Check for filtered deck / custom study
- On the Decks screen, make sure you’re not only looking at a filtered deck with 0 cards.
- Try clicking directly on the main AnKing deck (not a subdeck) and see if it offers reviews.
-
Disable other add-ons once
- Start Anki while holding Shift (to disable add-ons temporarily).
- Then check Browse → select the AnKing deck → see if cards appear.
Once you post the screenshots & answers to the questions above, I can give you very specific next steps for fixing why no cards are showing.

Thanks for the extra info and screenshots—that helps a lot.
Right now, it looks like:
- You are subscribed to the AnKing deck on AnkiHub
- But the notes were never actually downloaded into this profile, so the deck exists in name only (0 notes in Browse, 0 new/learn/due).
This usually happens after deleting decks on AnkiWeb / doing a one‑way sync, then subscribing on AnkiHub without re‑importing the base deck.
Step 1 – Make sure AnkiHub can create the notes
- In Anki, go to Tools → Add-ons.
- Select AnkiHub → click Config.
- Make sure:
- “Create missing notes from AnkiHub” (or similar wording) is enabled.
- Restart Anki.
Then:
- In the top menu, click AnkiHub → Sync changes from AnkiHub.
- Watch the log window that opens:
- Do you see anything like “Created X notes” or error messages?
- If it completes instantly with 0 changes, let me know.
Step 2 – Confirm subscription and mapping
On the web:
- Go to ankihub.net → My Decks.
- Click the AnKing deck.
- In the upper‑right, click “Show Anki Deck Mapping” (or the mapping/settings area).
- Confirm that it is mapped to “AnKing Step Deck” (the deck name you see in Anki).
- If it’s mapped to something else or shows no mapping, set it to your AnKing Step Deck and save.
Back in Anki:
- Click AnkiHub → Sync changes from AnkiHub again.
- Open Browse → select “AnKing Step Deck” on the left.
- Check the top bar: does it now show >0 notes?
Step 3 – If it’s still 0 notes
If after Steps 1–2 you still see 0 notes, do this:
- In Anki, go to AnkiHub → Unlink deck for the AnKing Step Deck.
- Then delete that empty deck from Anki (right‑click → Delete).
- On the AnkiHub web page for AnKing, click Subscribe again if needed.
- In Anki, click AnkiHub → Add shared deck from AnkiHub and:
- Choose the AnKing deck.
- Let AnkiHub create/import it fresh.
- After it finishes, open Browse and verify that you now see tens of thousands of notes.
Step 4 – Unsuspend cards (once notes exist)
Once you actually see notes:
- In Browse, select AnKing Step Deck.
Cmd+A(Mac) to select all.- Right‑click → Toggle Suspend (or press
Cmd+J). - Return to Decks → you should now see New cards > 0.
Please run through Step 1 and Step 2 first and tell me:
- What the AnkiHub sync log says (especially any errors).
- Whether the Anki Deck Mapping on the website is correctly set to AnKing Step Deck.
From there I can give you the exact next tweak if it still shows 0 notes.
okay so when i try to configure, my screen doesn’t let me press anything, i just see this, but cannot change anything.
I had the same issue. I did step 3 as the bot suggested, and that did the trick for me - hopefully this gets resolved soon for you!
Hello! I would be happy to help.
Just to confirm, are you experiencing these two issues?
- The deck has no cards.
- You are unable to change the settings.
For now, please try resetting your local changes to see if that resolves the issue and if the tags appear in the sidebar of the Browser.
Here’s a tutorial: How to Reset Local Changes
Thank you so much! I was able to get my deck by doing step 3.
