Hi there! Based on the screenshots you’ve shared, I can see you’re experiencing an issue where the AnKing deck appears to have downloaded, but no cards are showing up in the deck. This is a common issue that has a few possible solutions.

Why this happens

Your issue appears to be that the cards are visible in the browser but not appearing in your deck list. This typically happens when:

  1. The cards have been downloaded correctly but aren’t assigned to a proper deck
  2. The deck destination for new cards isn’t set correctly in AnkiHub

How to fix it

Here are the steps to resolve this issue:

Method 1: Create a deck and move the cards

  1. Create a new deck (click “Create Deck” at the bottom of your deck list)
  2. Name it “AnKing Step Deck” or whatever you prefer
  3. Go to the browser (as shown in your screenshot)
  4. Select all the AnKing cards (Ctrl+A or Cmd+A)
  5. Right-click → Change Deck
  6. Move the cards to the new deck you created

Method 2: Set proper destination for new cards

  1. Open the AnkiHub add-on
  2. Click on “Deck Management”
  3. Select the AnKing deck
  4. Click “Change destination for new cards” and set it to the appropriate deck

If you want to avoid this issue in the future, make sure to set the destination for new cards in the AnkiHub add-on before syncing.

Additional troubleshooting

If the above methods don’t work, you can try:

  • Resetting local changes:
    1. Go to Browse in Anki
    2. Click on the AnkiHub add-on tab
    3. Click “Reset all local changes”

Let me know if these solutions work for you or if you need any additional help!

There are no cards downloaded. I have the destination correct and I can’t create a deck without the cards to move in the browser.

I apologize for misunderstanding your situation. Let me help troubleshoot this properly. If you’re saying there are no cards at all in your browser (despite having subscribed and synced), that’s a different issue than what I initially thought.

Let’s try these specific troubleshooting steps:

1. Verify your AnkiHub sync status

First, make sure your AnkiHub add-on is properly synced:

  • Open Anki
  • Click on the AnkiHub add-on button in the toolbar
  • Click “Sync”
  • Make sure it completes without errors

2. Check if you’re using the correct AnkiWeb account

  • Ensure you’re signed in to the same AnkiWeb account that you used to subscribe to AnkiHub
  • Check this by clicking “Sync” (the button in the top-right of Anki’s main screen)

3. Reset all local changes

This often resolves synchronization issues:

  • In Anki, go to Browse
  • Click on the AnkiHub add-on tab at the top
  • Select “Reset all local changes”

4. Force a full sync with AnkiWeb

Sometimes a full sync can resolve issues:

  • Close Anki
  • Reopen Anki while holding down the Shift key (this disables add-ons temporarily)
  • Click on Sync and choose “Download from AnkiWeb” when prompted
  • After this completes, close Anki and reopen normally (without Shift key)
  • Try the AnkiHub sync again

5. Check for AnkiHub subscription status

  • Visit app.ankihub.net
  • Make sure your subscription to the AnKing deck shows as active

If none of these steps work, could you provide more information:

  • Which version of Anki are you using?
  • Which version of the AnkiHub add-on do you have installed?
  • Do you see any error messages when syncing with AnkiHub?

This will help identify the specific issue you’re experiencing.

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

It could be a few things, but let’s try the likeliest solution first: Resetting Local Changes

You’ll also want to make sure that you’re on Anki version 25.02 or later, and of course that you have an active AnkiHub account.

Give that a shot, let me know how you fare, and we’ll go from there and hopefully we can get you squared away.

Hi, I reset and still no cards showing up. I have an active AnkiHub account as well

Hello,

Could you please check where your new cards are being sent? You can see this by following the path in the images below.

In my example screenshots, just imagine “AnKing-MCAT” is shown instead of “AnKing Step Deck”.

Please check if the deck where you are looking for new cards is the same one selected as the destination deck.

If it’s different, you can go to that destination deck, select the cards, and move them to the correct “AnKing-MCAT” deck.

Hi, it’s set to the right destination I believe.

However, now I only have 26 cards after I synced.

Just to make sure, can you check your tags and see if you have this tag present:

If so, how many cards are listed as being present?

Yes and only 26

And just to make sure of a couple of things:

You already reset local changes, yeah? And what did that do?

Do you know what version of Anki you’re running?

If you can, within Anki go to your top menu bar. From there, click Anki - About Anki and check your version number.

You’ll want to make sure that you’re on 25.02. If it’s any other version, you’ll want to upgrade since older versions often run into little issues with add-ons.

You can always download the latest version of Anki at the official Anki website: https://apps.ankiweb.net/
