If I create a copy (like literally select the option of create a copy, not just copy and paste the card) of a card from the Anking deck (I have the subscription) and then edit it, will anking updates change those cards back if you sync to their original content or does creating a copy of the card make the card my own so the anking syncing does not apply?
For example, i create a copy of a card to add a new cloze to it. Will that cloze edit disappear since it is not in a protected field or since it is a copy and not the actual card it won’t be affected. The tags from the original card are still there when I create a copy.

Creating a copy of the card will make it your own card so AnkiHub will not detect or overwrite it.
AnkiHub detects note IDs. So if the original note ID is for example 123, but you create a new card and add the same information, the new card you made has a note ID of 456, so AnkiHub can only detect 123, not 456, and therefore your changes will not be overwritten.
