If I deleted my deck and do the reset local changes, will I keep my unsuspended cards and progress on cards?

Reading: Deleted deck accidentally
Short answer: probably not in the way you’re hoping.
On AnkiHub, Reset local changes basically tells AnkiHub:
“Make my local deck match exactly what’s on AnkiHub.”
What usually happens when you use Reset local changes:
- Local deletions are undone
- If the deck still exists on AnkiHub and you only deleted it locally, syncing with Reset local changes can restore the cards/deck from AnkiHub.
- Local progress & unsuspensions are lost
- Your review history (intervals, ease, due dates, etc.) is considered a “local change.”
- Unsuspending/suspending cards locally is also a local change.
- With Reset local changes, those changes are typically overwritten by the AnkiHub version, so:
- Cards you unsuspended locally will usually go back to whatever suspend state they have on AnkiHub.
- Your personal review progress is usually reset to whatever state AnkiHub “knows” (or to default if AnkiHub doesn’t track that per user).
Because details can differ by deck/setup, I strongly recommend:
- Make a backup first
- In Anki Desktop:
File → Export → Collection.apkg (include scheduling info)and save it somewhere safe.
- In Anki Desktop:
- Then, if you want, try Reset local changes and see what comes back.
If you can share:
- The name/link of the AnkiHub deck, and
- Whether you ever did “Reset local changes” or re-synced after deleting the deck,
I can give more tailored advice about what you’re likely to get back vs. lose.
Hello,
In this case, to ensure you keep your progress and suspended cards, I recommend restoring from a backup: How to Restore from Backup
After getting your cards back, you can reset local changes to ensure you are up to date: How to Reset Local Changes
Please note that information about progress and whether a card is suspended is stored in your Anki, not on AnkiHub.
