Hello,
Are you using FSRS? If so, could you share a screenshot of your deck settings?
That way, I’ll be able to help you more effectively!
I have tried changing the new card intervals and turning the burying feature off but it has not worked
Hello
There isn’t much to fix here, tbh, as this is normal behavior due to the way that Anki calculates the ‘Hard’ interval.
There’s a longer explanation, but it has to do with an automatic calculation that Anki does when it comes to determining the interval for the Hard option and the way that it rounds that value over. Unfortunately, Anki does not offer any way to specify the ‘Hard’ interval and so sometimes it will naturally occur that it ends up being the same as the ‘Good’ interval, especially with new cards when the values are very small.
In this case, there’s nothing ‘wrong’ with your intervals, really. The intervals for ‘Good’ and ‘Hard’ will differentiate naturally over time as you progress. I can explain the particulars here if you like, but it’s both boring, ends up just being math, and there isn’t a way to directly adjust Anki’s behavior in this regard (you can adjust the ‘Again’ and ‘Good’ intervals, though).
Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.
