Since the card background color is set by the card template, you will need to use a specific add-on to change it.
Please follow these steps:
Download and install this add-on: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/952691989
After it’s installed, restart Anki.
On the Anki main screen, navigate to AnKing > Note Types.
Select “General” or the Note Type for which you want to make the changes. There, you can set the background color.
