How to see the status of my note suggestion request

Obviously I can go to the community suggestions area to see everyone’s suggestions and then scroll down to see where mine is. But how do I see when mine is accepted/denied? how do I see the logic behind why? If the suggestion is accepted, when will it sync to the entire community’s decks? Is that once a month or immediately once it is accepted?

Viewing Your Suggestion Status

To see when your suggestions are accepted or denied:

  1. Navigate to the deck on the AnkiHub web app (https://app.ankihub.net/)
  2. Click on the Community suggestions button
  3. By default, this shows open suggestions that are awaiting review
  4. To see your accepted or rejected suggestions, click the Show Closed option

Understanding Acceptance/Rejection Logic

When maintainers review your suggestion, they can:

  • Accept (Merge) your suggestion, which will include it in the deck
  • Reject (Discard) your suggestion, often with a reason explaining why
  • Edit your suggestion before accepting it (which will show as co-authored)

Maintainers can leave comments explaining their decision in the discussion section of your suggestion. If you want to understand why a specific suggestion was accepted or rejected, you can check these comments.

Timeline for Updates After Acceptance

When a suggestion is accepted:

  • The changes are immediately available on the AnkiHub server
  • All subscribers will receive these updates during their next sync with AnkiHub
  • You don’t need to wait for a monthly update - accepted changes are incorporated into the shared deck right away

Tracking Your Own Suggestions

If you want to find all your suggestions:

  • In the Anki browser, you can search for author:YourUsername to see all your suggestions (both accepted and rejected)
  • On the web app, you can filter the suggestions to find your own contributions

This should help you track the entire lifecycle of your suggestions from submission to final decision and implementation.
