I can't create any cards besides clozeds

o i have just purchased the anking deck but since I’m from another country I’d like to create my own cards. The thing is it seems i can only create Cloze cards, whenever i choose [mc] nothing changes, the fields don’t change.

I’ve tried using the latest version of anki and the 25.02.7 version that seems to be the recommended one, and still nothing.

When i asked Gemini what to do it gave me this prompt:
((mc::Resposta Correta::Errada 1::Errada 2))

but still nothing, when i try to preview the card it says No omission was found.

Can someone please help me to get around anking? Their tutorial is 1 year outdated and i cant seem to find any reliable source to explain the basics of the Anking deck

I’m not sure I’m familiar with the ‘mult.choice’ function; is that an add-on?

Separately, I believe part of the reason you’re running into trouble if you’re trying to create a non-cloze deletion card is that it appears that you are using the Anking note type, which is inherently a cloze-deletion note type:

If you would like to create notes that are not cloze-deletion, you would want to use a note type for that function (basic, etc.). You can choose other notes types from your collection by clicking on the note type selector and electing to use another note type:

You might keep in mind, though, that if you are using a multiple choice add-on, or similar, it’s hard to say how well that add-on might work with various note types. In that instance, you may want or need to read out to the owner of the add-on for clarity as to which note types it is with which the add-on is compatible.

While I’m not sure quite which tutorial you’re referencing, I’m sorry to say that we don’t have tutorials for the functions of many third-party add-ons unfortunately.

This anking mastery course was where i downloaded the buther add-on. it was supposed to install all necessary add-ons and configurations to run anking. so the multi. choice was already there when i first opened anki with these addons. you see, there are other funcionalities, but when i choose whatever of those, nothing appears, no new field whatsoever

The Closet add-on is not maintained by the AnKing team and hasn’t received updates for years. We’ll probably stop recommending it to avoid confusion, but please note that this multiple-choice format is not used in the AnKing deck, and it doesn’t work with it out of the box.
