If I add an extra cloze to a question from the anking deck will that be removed as I sync new updates?

for example this is the original card: Vestibular Schwannomas are {{c2::encapsulated::encapsulated/unencapsulated}} tumors of neoplastic Schwann cells with alternating areas of hypercellularity [{{c1::Antoni A}}] & hypocellularity [{{c1::Antoni B}}]

Would syncing and updating in the future remove the extra cloze card I’ve added (C3)?

Hello,

Yes it would remove it.

In order for it to stay, you will need to protect that note’s text field so it does not get overwritten.

To do this, go to the note → right click → AnkiHub protect → click on text

This will add a tag that will protect the text field so it does not get overwritten

but this would make it so if an error was found in the card and it was updated that this card would not get updated right?

No, not as of right now. If you want to make changes locally to a card, you must protect that field which means you won’t get any updates from ankihub to that specific field

Consider adding a new card with the same text but with only your added cloze.
