Cards not syncing

Hello,

I just paid for the membership and subscribed to the deck yesterday. I create new clozes and occasionally edit the text within cards from v11, so I wanted to protect the ones I had unsuspended up to that point before updating to v12. I created a personal tag and after subscribing to the v12 deck, I protected my old cards’ text fields, but left the extra fields free to update. I’ve seen the extra fields update on a my old cards which is what I expected and it seems like my old cards retained their extra clozes and text fields. However, now that I’m unsuspending new cards on v12, I am noticing their extra fields changed, but the text on the new cards haven’t changed. For example, when I am doing my new cards, some of them say “this card used to say this”, but that card’s text field will still say the v11 information. After hitting “view on Ankihub”, I can see that a lot of my cards still have the v11 text fields, even though I didn’t protect all of them. I’ve tried adjusting my protected cards and resyncing to ankihub, but it keeps saying 0 notes updated and the cards stay the same. Attached will be a picture of a card that I haven’t protected and haven’t unsuspended, but retained the v11 text field. Please let me know what I can do. Thank you.

If you want the text changes to update, do the following:

Please try resetting your local changes. To do this:

Go to browse in your Anki → at the top click on ankihub addon tab → press reset all local changes

This will restore everything to what AnkiHub has unless you have specifically protected those fields

Note you can keep specific cards text fields protected by rightclicking → AnkiHub Protect. Those cards will not be updated

Okay it worked! Thank you so much. Moving forward, if I would like to keep making new clozes and editing text slightly on cards, would I have to AnkiHub protect each card that I modify in this way? Or would simply not resetting local changes keep new clozes and text edits intact?

No worries!

You would have to right click on the card and protect it. Otherwise in the future it can all be overwritten and you’ll lose your progress
