Is there a way to add image occlusion notes to my ankihub deck?

Hello AnkiHub Support,

I’m the creator of a collaborative deck on AnkiHub, and I need guidance regarding image occlusion notes. Specifically:

  1. My current situation:

    • I have an existing AnkiHub deck that I created
    • The deck currently only has a Cloze note type
    • I want to add image occlusion notes to my deck

  2. My questions:

    • Is there a way to add image occlusion support to an existing AnkiHub deck?
    • If not, what is the recommended way to incorporate image occlusions into my deck?
    • Would I need to create a new deck, or is there another solution?

  3. Additional context/questions:

    • I need to ensure my subscribers can properly view and use these image occlusion notes
    • If I created a new deck, how could I transfer the cards from the old deck to the new one and still have my subscribers be able to see the cards in the new deck?

Any guidance on the best way to handle this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

We are rolling out the note type feature very soon, where users will be able to add note types to existing AnkiHub decks.

Currently, the only way is to create a new deck, yes. But once the new feature rolls out, this won’t be necessary any longer

You’ll basically have to duplicate the cards and upload it using the original note type (non-AnkiHub note type), then your subscribers will need to subscribe to the new deck to receive the new cards.

It’s a messy process, which is why the devs are currently working on implementing the new note type feature to make this process obsolete
