I downloaded the Anki deck “Anking,” and synced all ~30,000 cards. Yet, it seems like my media sync somehow stalled, because ~90% of the cards show no media on them. I keep hitting the “sync” button, and I get the message “collection sync complete,” but I am still missing thousands of images on cards. When I go to ankihub–> media sync, it says “idle,” but i don’t know how to properly execute the sync without deleting and redownloading the deck (which I have already been using for 4 months). this is what most of the cards look like:

Are you missing images on all cards?
The image you are missing is not actually an image, its an OME banner
Try installing the AnKing note types add-on and see if that resolves your issue: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/952691989

Please try resetting your local changes. To do this:
Go to browse in your Anki → at the top click on the ankihub addon tab → press reset all local changes
This will restore everything to what AnkiHub has unless you have specifically protected those fields
will reseting my local changes get rid of all the progress ive made on cards? like my reviews etc?

No, resetting local changes will have no effect on your local progress (otherwise no one would ever do it, and I certainly would not suggest that you do so). 
It just institutes a check against the server and tries to make sure that all media and fields are in agreement.
