Missing Media HELP

Hi! Many of my cards are not displaying media and instead shows a link to view the file on AnkiHub. This is happening across all devices (macbook pro, ipad, and iphone). When I “Check Media” on my macbook, it says I have 416 missing files and 1077 unused files. Under AnkiHub it says “Media Sync: Idle”.

How do I get my card to show the media?

I tried the “Reset all local changes to a deck” trick and it did not work. It only changed my numbers in the Check Media to "Missing files: ⁨416⁩ Unused files: ⁨1083⁩”.

Please help!!!

Hello,

Please follow these steps to make sure everything is up to date:

  1. Update Anki
    Please ensure you are on the latest version of Anki. You can download it here: https://apps.ankiweb.net/. After downloading, simply run the downloaded file to update your application.

  2. Update the AnkiHub Add-on
    On your Anki main screen, go to Tools > Add-ons > Check for Updates. After the update is complete, please restart Anki.

  3. Update tour note type
    a. Download and install this add-on: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/952691989
    b. After the add-on is installed, please restart Anki.
    c. On your Anki main screen, navigate to AnKing > AnKing Note Types.
    d. In the window that appears, first click the option to reset the notetype, and then click to check for updates. Be sure to save your changes.

  4. Reset Local Changes
    After updating your note types, please follow this tutorial to reset local changes: How to Reset Local Changes

If that doesn’t solve the issue, could you please upload your logs to help us investigate further? Here’s how:

  1. In the Anki app, navigate to the menu: AnkiHub > Help > Upload Logs.
  2. A filename will be shown in a confirmation pop-up. Please copy and paste that filename here for us.

Please also provide any relevant screenshots and more details about the problem so we can take a closer look.

Hi! Thank you, this did not solve this issue. I now have "Missing files: ⁨416⁩ Unused files: ⁨1083⁩”. Additionally, it unsuspended about 6000 cards in one of my decks ):

ankihub_addon_logs_emilygrodgers_1756520683.log

Eariler today I only had ~100 unsuspended cards left for me to learn, after I followed the steps from the comment above, this is what it shows (6282 new cards). Screenshot 2025-08-29 at 9.33.19 PM
