Missing 9370 media files in anking step deck

Hello,

I have an active AnkiHub subscription and I am using Anki 25.09.4 with the AnkiHub add-on version 2026-06-03.1.

My AnKing Step Deck is subscribed correctly, but Tools → Check Media reports 9,370 missing media files. Media Sync completes and shows “Idle”, but the missing media files are never downloaded.

I have already uploaded my logs and data.

I have already verified:

  • My subscription is active.

  • The AnKing Step Deck is subscribed.

  • Media Sync completes successfully.

  • The add-on is up to date.

  • Check Media still reports 9,370 missing files.

Could you please check my account and advise how to force a complete media resynchronization?

Hello,

Anki’s built-in Tools > Check Media feature can sometimes show a “missing files” report even when no media is actually missing from your AnkiHub decks. This happens because the tool checks your entire collection, meaning the flagged files might simply belong to other decks you currently have or used to have.

When media is truly missing, a broken image icon will appear on your cards. However, these icons usually only indicate an actual issue if they show up in specific fields like Text, Extra, Sketchy, or Pixorize.

Please let me know if you’re seeing broken image icons in any of those specific fields within the AnKing step deck.

If you are only seeing missing media reports in the Check Media tool and haven’t noticed any missing images during your reviews, you are completely good to go!
