Most often this happens because the AnkiHub deck is subscribed but not actually imported into your local collection yet, or Anki’s browser/deck list is filtered in a confusing way.

Try these steps in order (on your computer, not the web AnkiHub interface):

1. Confirm the deck is really subscribed in AnkiHub

  1. In Anki desktop, go to Tools → Add‑ons → AnkiHub → Configure (or open the AnkiHub add‑on window).
  2. Under Subscribed Decks, make sure “AnKing Step Deck v12” (or similar) is listed and checked.
  3. Click Sync with AnkiHub from the add‑on.

If you don’t see the step deck there, you may have:

  • Subscribed with a different AnkiHub account than the one logged into the add‑on, or
  • Not clicked “Subscribe” on the deck’s page yet.

2. Check if the deck is buried inside the AnKing hierarchy

In the main Anki window:

  1. Look for a parent deck like “AnKing Step Deck v12” or under the main AnKing deck.
  2. Click the :play_button: arrow to expand subdecks.
  3. See if the cards are inside a subdeck with a different name than you expected.

3. Make sure you’re not hiding cards with a filter

In Browse:

  1. At the top left, select “Whole Collection”.
  2. At the top center, clear the search bar completely (delete everything) and hit Enter.
  3. At the left, scroll to find the step deck and click it.
    • Check the bottom bar: what is the card count shown?

If the count is >0 in Browse but you see 0 in the main screen, it’s likely a New card/day limit issue.

4. Check your New card limits

  1. Click the step deck on the main Anki screen.
  2. Click Options → New Cards.
  3. Ensure New cards/day is set to something reasonable (e.g. 30–9999).
  4. Back on the main screen, see if “New: 0” changes after increasing the limit and then clicking Study Now.

5. If it still shows 0 cards

Please post a screenshot of:

  • The AnkiHub add‑on subscribed deck list, and
  • The Browse window with the step deck selected (left pane) and the bottom‑bar card count visible.

That will make it easier to see if this is an account/subscription issue vs. a settings/limits issue.
