How can I use the AnKing MCAT deck to follow along with the 300 page Khan Academy Psych/Soc PDF?
I know that you guys based it off Khan Acadamy I am but am not sure about what sections to untag in when Iâm going along the Khan Academy PDF. Is thier a doc for every section like for ex: Behavior - here are all the vids for this section ect. How should I unsuspend those cards?

Youâre right that the AnKing MCAT deck is largely based on Khan Academy, but there isnât (as far as I can see on the forum) an official public document that says:
âSection X of the 300âpage KA P/S doc â exactly these tags/cards.â
So youâll need to rely on the builtâin tags and a consistent workflow rather than a sectionâbyâsection doc.
Hereâs a practical way to do it:
1. Know which tags to look for
In the AnKing MCAT deck, Psych/Soc is usually organized with tags like:
MCAT::Psych/Soc::...
Sometimes further broken down by topic (e.g. behavior, learning, social processes, etc.)
On desktop Anki:
Click the Browse button.
In the left pane, find your AnKing MCAT deck and expand the Tags tree.
Look for tags that clearly correspond to Psych/Soc content.
(If youâre unsure which tags are P/S, you can screenshot your tag tree and ask here; people can help you identify them.)
2. Match KA P/S sections to tags
For each section youâre doing in the 300âpage KA PDF:
Note the section title / topic (e.g. âBehaviorâ, âLearningâ, âSocializationâ, etc.).
In the Browser search bar, search either:
tag:"MCAT::Psych/Soc::Behavior" (or whatever tag looks closest), or
Use a keyword search to find relevant cards (e.g. Behavior AND deck:"AnKing MCAT"), then see what tags those cards have.
Over time youâll learn which tags line up with each area of the PDF. It wonât be perfect 1:1, but close enough for studying.
3. How to unsuspend cards as you go
A simple, lowâstress workflow:
Start with everything suspended (default for the deck).
When you start a new KA P/S section:
In the Browser, filter by the relevant tag(s) for that section.
Select all those cards â rightâclick â Toggle Suspend to unsuspend them.
Optional refinement:
If there are too many cards, skim through and only unsuspend:
Highâyield concepts that appear in the PDF
Cards that directly match examples/definitions you just learned.
This keeps your newâcard load aligned with where you are in the PDF instead of dumping all P/S at once.
4. If you want closer 1:1 mapping
If you really want each KA P/S section to map to a specific tag:
As you read a section, tag a few cards yourself:
For example, create tags like KA_PsychSoc::Section_1_Behavior, KA_PsychSoc::Section_2_Learning, etc.
Then you can unsuspend by your custom tag each time.
This takes a bit of upfront work but makes later review and lastâminute cramming much easier.
5. Where to ask for an existing mapping
Itâs possible someone has already made a mapping but hasnât posted it in a clearly searchable way. Iâd recommend:
Editing this topic or replying to ask specifically:
âHas anyone mapped the 300âpage KA P/S PDF sections to AnKing MCAT tags or made a sectionâbyâsection unsuspension guide?â
Also consider checking The AnKingâs official resources (website / YouTube descriptions) for any âMCAT P/S orderâ or âKhan Academy mappingâ docs.
If youâd like, you can post a screenshot of your Psych/Soc tags from the Browser, and I can suggest a more concrete âSection X â Tag Yâ strategy for you.
Given that the 300 page doc is fairly old, I donât believe that any of the more updated decks are tagged via that doc. Instead, they are largely tagged via Khan Academy itself
Thus, if you are hoping to use the AnKing MCAT deck alongside Khan Academy, you would use the Khan Academy tags:
Thank you for you response, but how exactly am I suppose to use the Khan Acadamy tags as their is alot per 1 subsection once you click onto behavioral. Is their a doc per sub section like for ex: Once you click into the behavioral section and you un suspend all of the beahvior subsection, is thier a google doc for for videos just for that subsection if that makes sense.
You would use the tags as they are currently organized. In the case of Khan Academy, the resource is organized around videos, with one tag corresponding to each video
Iâm not aware of a google doc, unfortunately. Just the Khan Academy website and how it is organized. Iâm not sure there is necessarily much need for a document, aside from what is on their website and contained within the tag structure
Additionally, this tutorial can walk you through an example of how you might get started. It uses the AnKing Step deck as an example, though the same basic idea applies: How to Get Started Studying
Please let me know if that answers your question, and if thereâs anything else I can help with.
How do you find the videos for one specific section? For example, how do I find the videos for Attitudes? I understand the tagging system, but when you go to the Khan Academy tag and click Attitudes, you could end up unsuspending several hundred cards at once.
Sorry, for all of this confusion. Where excatly in khan acadamy do i find the videos. For example whenever I search up âBehavior Attitudes MCAT KAâ it leads me to this page and thier is a bunch of videos but it doesnt speciflly say which ones are for the topic attitudes.
There may naturally be some videos that Khan Academy has moved around that havenât fully been updated in the tags (this is hopefully a near-term project), but the general gist should be there. I used them myself for the MCAT a couple of years ago, and can happily report that it does the trick.
