is it safe to delete the cards under potential duplicates for step 2 V12? I have 1950 cards with the tag. little confused as to what to do! thanks for any help

There is no need to delete them since they are potential duplicates, which means they are not confirmed duplicates.
The maintainer team actively votes on these and removes them if they are duplicates, and then you will find them here tag:AnkiHub_Deleted
