I have a question regarding how can I adjust the tags on my ipad or iphone.
I already set up my step1 deck and suspended all the cards except for the high yield one on my laptop however most of my study is from my ipad and iphone so how can I reflect such changes on both so I can be able to study the deck from the phone application

To have the same suspended cards and tags on your iPad/iPhone as on your laptop, you just need to:
Make sure everything is synced from your laptop
On your laptop (with the AnkiHub add-on installed):
Click the AnkiWeb sync button (top right in Anki) and let it finish.
Then open the AnkiHub add-on (AnkiHub → Manage Subscriptions) and click “Sync with AnkiHub” for your Step 1 deck so all tag/card state changes are pushed to AnkiHub as well.
Sync Anki/AnkiMobile on your iPad/iPhone
Open Anki/AnkiMobile on your iPad and iPhone.
Tap the sync button (circular arrows at the top of the deck list).
If it asks whether to upload or download and your laptop has the “correct” version, choose Download from AnkiWeb.
After it finishes, your:
Suspended vs. unsuspended cards
Tags
should match what you had on your laptop.
Confirm on your phone
On your iPad/iPhone, open the Step 1 deck.
Check a few cards you know are “high yield only” to confirm the others are suspended.
In the browser (Browse → find your Step 1 deck), you can also filter by tags to verify the tag setup.
Important notes:
AnkiHub itself does not run on iOS; the iPad/iPhone get changes through normal AnkiWeb sync after you push updates from desktop via the AnkiHub add-on.
Always do all deck/tag setup on your desktop, then:
Desktop Anki → Sync with AnkiWeb & AnkiHub → iPad/iPhone Anki → Sync.
If you tell me:
Which Step 1 deck you’re using (e.g., AnKing Overhaul Step 1), and
Whether you’ve already synced AnkiWeb on each device,
I can walk you through the exact clicks step-by-step for your setup.
Please note that your AnkiHub account is different from your AnkiWeb account. Visit the two websites below to make sure you have the correct login credentials for each:
AnkiWeb is the cloud backup service for Anki itself, while AnkiHub is this current service, used to download your deck and keep it up to date.
Also, be careful when asked if you want to download or upload to AnkiWeb. If you choose to upload, everything on your current device will overwrite the cloud. If you choose to download, everything in the cloud will overwrite what is on your current device. Always make sure you know which version is the most up-to-date.
