Why does my smart search not let me filter to study based on EOR or topic? For example I am studying Psych. I pull up the questions, but when I go to study it I get given questions that are from family med (FM). Any advice? This is for the Anki Endeavor

    • Many curated AnkiHub decks (like AnKing Overhaul / Anki Endeavor) use specific tag structures for:
      • System (e.g., Endeavor::Psych)
      • Exam or block (e.g., Endeavor::EOR::Psych or similar)
    • If Smart Search is designed to filter by those exact tags, but:
      • You’re using a different tag, or
      • Cards weren’t fully updated/synced from AnkiHub,
        then the deck might mix in unrelated cards (like FM).

  3. Check that your Endeavor deck is fully updated from AnkiHub

    • In Anki desktop:
      • Go to AnkiHub → Manage Shared Decks.
      • Make sure:
        • The Anki Endeavor deck is subscribed.
        • You’ve recently clicked Sync / Apply changes so you have the latest tags/fields and Smart Search behavior.
    • Outdated tagging or fields can cause Smart Search to pull the wrong material.

  4. Confirm which scheduler / filtered deck settings Smart Search is using

    • Some “smart search” workflows:
      • Create a filtered deck behind the scenes based on a search string.
    • Open that filtered deck’s settings and check:
      • The Search line – does it clearly restrict to Psych or the Psych EOR tag?
      • If it includes something broad like the whole Endeavor deck without a tag limit, FM will sneak in.

  5. If nothing obvious stands out

    • It’s possible there’s a bug or misconfiguration specific to the Endeavor Smart Search template (e.g., a wrong tag hardcoded for that topic).
    • In that case, it will help to post (either here or in a follow‑up reply):
      • A screenshot of the Smart Search settings / selection you’re using (Psych / which EOR).

I can’t say I’ve used the Anki Endeavor deck myself, as it’s not a deck that is maintained by the AnkiHub team. Can you share a bit more detail about the specific difficulties you’re running into?

In particular, what are the ‘questions’ that you’re referring to pulling up?
