Synching overrides my decks

Hello!

I have the AnKing deck downloaded. I also made two of my own decks which I organized as “sub-decks” (I’m not sure if this is the correct term, please reference the image below) underneath the AnKing deck. My issue is that every time some sort of changes to the AnKing deck are synched with my Anki, my two personal sub-decks disappear are or deleted. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Thank you very much!

Hello!

We are investigating this and will get back to you with an answer as soon as we have one.

Thank you for your patience!

This is caused by the subdeck feature, which moves notes to subdecks based on subdeck tags. You can read more information about this here: Advanced Functionality - AnkiHub).
In this situation it would be better if the add-on didn’t remove them, but the problem can be fixed for now by disabling the subdeck feature for this AnkiHub deck.

Here’s how you can do this:
Go to AnkiHub → Subscribed Decks from the main Anki window.

You most likely have subdecks enabled for the AnKing deck. You can disable this by selecting the AnKing deck and clicking the Disable Subdecks button.
When you do that, this dialog will show up:

Click No.

This should fix the problem.

Thank you. So for any cards that I place into these subdecks, should I be tagging them somehow?
