Hi - having some trouble with the optional tags feature.

Essentially I want to add a tag for additional Family Medicine cards that are not tagged in the FM Shelf specific tag so that I am able to create a filtered deck using said tag.

I tried to follow the video to add an optional tag; I was able to do this on the Website, but when I go to Ankihub on the desktop app and go to Ankihub → “Reset an optional tag group” it says “You don’t have any AnkiHub optional tag groups configured yet.” but I don’t see anywhere configure them?

Maybe I am making this too difficult and I can just manually type a tag and then protect it? I tried to do this, but when I create a filtered deck using this technique…it said “no cards found” even though the cards are active.

Would appreciate any support.

Have you added tags to the optional tag group yet? Did it sync correctly?

What were the settings of the filtered deck? The option you select differs based on whether the cards are new vs done before vs suspended
