Unable to paste Anki Query from amboss session analysis

Hi, I am Unable to paste the “Anki Query Code” from my amboss session analysis into the browse part of my anki app.
I am subscribed to Anking Step Deck but it will still not paste the anki codes into the screen! i have even logged into my amboss account on the anki app.

help would be appreciated, i really need to study, thanks.

Hello,

I’d be happy to try to help.

It might make it a bit easier if I can see what you’re seeing: can you show me where you’re running into difficulty with pasting? Preferably a screencap or similar. I think being able to see what you’re describing might make it a bit easier to troubleshoot from my end.

thank you!
See, although it i am logged in with amboss on the anki app too, it will not allow me to paste the code into the browse section.

This might be because there are 0 cards selected on their end so there is no query to copy

Thank you, but how do i get the cards to show from the session analysis? in the tutorial from the amboss website it is there automatically.

Can you try with another Qbank session and see if it’s any different? This is for Step 1 I’m assuming?

Mine seems to work, maybe that specific session is bugged for some reason?

I’ve tried with different sessions & Q Banks as well, but it just gives me this:

(will give me a code at the bottom left with zero cards!)

Ah, it does not show me any sort of cards
although I’m subscribed to it, I’m not sure what is the next step. It shows me the zero cards for custom sessions as well.

I would contact AMBOSS regarding this since this might be a bug on their end.

One thing you might check, real quick:

If you go to the Browse screen, and click on this tag:

image

You should see a card-count at the top of your screen, that tells you how many cards are present in your collection under that tag. Can you let us know what that number is?

If that number is off, the issue may be with your local collection. If that number is normal, then the issue more likely lies with Amboss as Mr. Ahmed has suggested.

Thank you, alright.

So this is the number of cards it shows me (a crazy amount), when i try to sync it will show me an error. (I’ve submitted the bug before).

Awesome, that might be a good hint.

First thought: are you certain that all of your add-ons are up to date? This can be confirmed by going to Tools - Add-ons - Check for Updates.

Second: do you know what version of Anki you’re running? This can be checked by clicking on Anki - About Anki:

Third: if you can, can you paste the entire bug log report thing here? Hopefully there are some hints in that text, and we can take a look.

Hi,
So there are no updates to be done.
I’m using version 25.02

and sure, here’s the bug log.

Can you try the following

  1. Go to Tools → add-ons → AMBOSS add-on and delete it
  2. Restart Anki
  3. Download the AMBOSS Add-on again
  4. Restart Anki again
  5. Check to see if the issue recurs

If the issue recurs where you still get the error, try using a different Wifi router or mobile data to see if anything changes
