Uworld mistakes

I have subdecks Uworld mistakes, high yield, and low yield. I do all of them at the same time, but I want to take my uworld mistakes subdeck out of to do it separately. But when AnKing sends updates, will it update those cards, or does this sundeck need to be under AnKing Step 1 deck

You can safely move your UWorld mistakes cards into a separate deck and they will still receive AnkiHub/AnKing updates, as long as:

  1. You don’t change the note IDs (i.e., you’re not cloning or re‑creating notes, just moving them between decks).
  2. The cards are still part of the same shared AnkiHub deck in the AnkiHub add-on (you haven’t unsubscribed or detached them).

In Anki, deck location doesn’t matter for updates—AnkiHub tracks notes by their internal IDs, not by which deck they’re in or whether the deck is a subdeck of AnKing Step 1.

So you can:

  • Keep AnKing Step 1 as your main deck
  • Move selected cards (e.g., tagged UWorld mistakes) into a separate “UWorld Mistakes” deck anywhere in your deck tree
  • Continue to get updates to fields/card templates from AnkiHub as usual

If you want, reply with how you currently separate UWorld mistakes (tags, custom study, filtered deck, etc.), and I can suggest a clean workflow for moving them without breaking anything.
