Hi, if I add the optional tag UWorld_NBME will it change the other tags, or does it just add a new tag so that it’s a different way to sort?
I also could not find the recommended settings…any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Yes correct, if you add the UWorld_NBME optional tag. It will not affect other tags, it just adds a new one you can use.
The recommended settings can be enabled upon installing a new deck. It will prompt you whether you want to use recommended settings or not and this is enabled by default.

Thank you for the answer! I upgraded from V11 to V12 and didn’t get that notification. Is there any way around it or is it too late?
One more question, I deleted the V11 tags but they still keep coming up, how do I keep them gone? Thank you in advance.

In most cases you will see the little checkbox but it’s small and most folks pass it by without seeing it. I would bet you probably did opt into the recommended settings:

As for the v11 tags they shouldn’t be returning as part of anything Ankihub-related, since those tags are no longer synced. Can you show me how you’re deleting them, and/or what else you might be doing?

Thank you for the reply! I see, now I’m not sure if I have checked the box or not! Would I be able to send you a screenshot of the settings to double check? I do have FSRS on, but again, unsure if that is what is recommended. Or if there is a screenshot I can adjust mine settings to instead?
I have been deleting the v11 tag by going to Browse > Tags> Right click on V11 tag > delete
It has popped up again after synching.

The v11 tag shouldn’t continue to pop back up if you’re deleted it (as it’s no longer even contained in the Step Deck). Can you show me the tag that you’re deleting so I can take a look?

As for the tags, they just came back again after synching:
I have been right clicking on the ones that say V11 and deleting from there. I think I might have figured out what was wrong with this. I kept getting these notifications every time I exit and open Anki:
It resets to local changes, then I get this and I select download from AnkiWeb. I think downloading it from Ankiweb was causing those tags to come back! Not sure why it wasn’t synching properly but this time I selected to upload to AnkiWeb so hoping it works!

If I’m not mistaken, I think you might be on a slightly older version of Anki? If so, it might be helpful to upgrade to 24.11 since it’s the most updated (and supported) version currently. It can be downloaded here: https://apps.ankiweb.net/
Aside from that, though, everything looks sharp and it sounds like you’re all set.
