Hello Everyone! I subscribed to the Anking MCAT deck, and I tried to get it on my desktop. Although I see the folder on Anki on my computer when I sync, there are no cards in that folder. Could someone please help me ![]()

Reading: Anki cards not showing up
Hi Hiyath, welcome to AnkiHub and the forum!
When you see a deck name but no cards, it’s usually one of a few common issues. Try going through these steps in order:
1. Make sure the deck is actually downloaded from AnkiHub
On your desktop Anki:
- Go to Tools → Add-ons and confirm AnkiHub is installed and enabled.
- Click AnkiHub → Browse Shared Decks (or similar wording).
- Find AnKing MCAT in the list.
- Make sure you have subscribed and that it says something like Synced / Up to date (not “Not downloaded”).
If it’s not downloaded yet, click to download/sync it from AnkiHub.
After that, press Sync (the circular arrows) in Anki.
2. Check that the cards aren’t just suspended or in a different deck
- In Anki, click Browse.
- On the left sidebar, click the AnKing MCAT deck.
- At the top, make sure the search bar is empty or just says:
deck:"AnKing MCAT" - Do you see notes there?
- If you see notes but the New count on the deck screen is 0, the cards may all be suspended:
- In the Browser, press
Ctrl+A(Cmd+A on Mac) to select all. - Right-click → if you see Unsuspend, click it.
- In the Browser, press
- Also check the Due, New, and Learning counts for the deck on the main screen.
3. Confirm you synced with the same AnkiWeb account
If you first set this up on another device:
- On that device, open Anki and press Sync.
- On your desktop, ensure you’re logged into the same AnkiWeb account (top-right of the Sync window).
- Sync again and check if the deck now has cards.
4. Screenshots really help
If you still don’t see any cards, please reply with:
- A screenshot of the main deck list showing the AnKing MCAT deck and its counts.
- A screenshot of the Browser with the AnKing MCAT deck selected on the left.
That will make it much easier to see whether it’s a sync issue, a suspend issue, or a download issue.
sorry what do i have to do
Hello,
Could you clarify what you mean by “folder”?
Let’s first try the most basic solution:
- Please reset your local changes following this tutorial: How to Reset Local Changes
- Then, click on this tag and send me a screenshot showing how many cards it contains:
If you are having issues with reset local changes, please make sure you have followed all of these setup steps (they are for the AnKing step deck, but just do the same for your MCAT deck):
- Make sure you have an active membership: AnkiHub memberships
- Install the AnkiHub add-on: Install Ankihub Addon (New User)
- Subscribe to and install a deck: Subscribe/Install Step Deck (New User)
- Start using the deck: How to Get Started Studying
