Stuck at the UI, when trying to sync manually, I think it is syncing when anki starts, not sure though
I have updated anki with the latest version available (24.06.3 Qt6)

Can you take a screenshot of what happens when you open up Anki?
You can hold Shift while opening Anki to disable addons, that might let you bypass the sync
Anki opens fine with & without addons, but when I try to sync it manually, it gets stuck at the UI (where Ankihub appears to be stuck, I think, as with other users who are reporting this)
Do you mean when the Anking note types update pop up opens? Then it cancels the sync?
- I open the app, it gives me the addon update popup & in the background you can see the notification “collection sync complete”
- I can now use the app, it has synced to ankihub
- However, if I click on the “sync” button to manually sync Ankihub, the UI gets stuck
(The gif got trimmed, so it’s not visible clearly in it)

I haven’t used the desktop anki app for a while now, maybe 4-5 days.
I recall using it & facing this issue but brushing this off as a one time weird bug d/t my network connection yesterday, i.e. 24th July 22:00 IST (GMT+5:30)
Then I saw a bunch of bug reports in the Ankihub forum, so I realized it’s a general issue, I read your comment about updating the app, did that & at first the issue was solved (as I said, it syncs fine when opening the app)
But manual syncing is still not working
Does the issue go away if you disable the AnKing notetypes add-on?
Nope, it is still there
Is it solved for other people ?

There was a similar issue in older Anki versions but it got fixed and I don’t remember seein recent reports of it. Can you try also disabling all other add-ons except AnkiHub and see if that makes a difference?
Disabling addons didn’t help, however I opened anki just now with all the addons & ankihub works as usual
